PS Pipeline Sdn Bhd, Malaysia
Facility: PS Pipeline Sdn Bhd is a joint venture company between Petronas Dagangan Berhad and Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd, operating a multi product pipeline supplying petroleum products to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Klang Valley Distribution Terminal (KVDT). The company has a main storage facility and 5 remote sites: Melaka station, Port Dickson station, KLIA station, Sepang station, KVDT station.
Number of cameras: 62 IP-cameras
CCTV task: As the customer has not only a main oil and gas storage, but also 5 remote stations it was necessary to create a system that would live stream all remote sites and would remotely notify the operator about the intrusions to the territory and enable operators to take prompt measures. It was also important for the customer to have a backup storage in order to be sure that all the information is safe in the archive and available for the operators in case anything happens on the site.
The overall task was to installate new IP System and upgrade Analog CCTV System at main storage and customer’s 5 other remote sites.
Solution: Camart Sdn Bhd - Eocortex distributor in Malaysia - first implemented 28 Eocortex Licences for its main storage in 2018. After the successful implementation PS Pipeline has decided to expand the video surveillance system up to 62 IP-cameras (additional 38 ST license for remote sites). The feature that attracted the most in Eocortex software was Failover - the module that is installed on each camera whose recording is critically important. The module provides consistent transmission of video and prevents loss of archive while the server is disconnected. The ability to continuously ensure the safety of the site, avoiding the damage to your property or p[otential threat to the staff or the visitors.
