New features to control large-scale video surveillance systems
Updating maps and plans for the efficient control of distributed objects including the following:
- option to set up new objects on the map, switch-over to floor plans and view streams from the installed cameras;
- user tags, description of devices in the plans, user-friendly filters, adjustable camera angle of view;
- alarm history ensuring capability of immediate switch-over to the camera in question on the plan, hybrid view layer (plan + cameras network).
Custom notifications for the users and new possibilities for work with the third-party systems
We introduced a feature to generate custom notifications about the video system events and to send them as SMS, email, push notifications, text messages to various messengers. Thanks to this feature the user will enjoy easy and comfortable navigation around the events within the video system.
We also improved data transfer methods from Eocortex to third-party systems (ACS, fire alarm systems, CRM and other external applications / systems) which allows easier and faster integration with such applications and systems.
Long-term database of the events (regardless of the archive)
We introduced the feature to make setup of the events storage time flexible and to store them for a long time with no attribute to the depth of the VMS archive, and in case with the face recognition and license plate recognition modules the VMS will allow to store the frames for a long time and to generate reports based on the stored frames. Now all of the events could be stored as long as it required (even for 10 years).
Decoding on GPU
The product supports frames decoding on GPU for the systems running with neural network video analytics. This allows to employ all of the computational potential of the graphics processor hence reducing CPU load. Respectively you can reduce the cost of the server system or to connect more cameras to the same server.
New features of the video analysis
Emergency Vehicles Detection
We introduced a smart module capable of detecting emergency vehicles (police, fire brigades, ambulance) within one or multiple zones of the frame for a preset time period. Once the module detects an emergency vehicle it will generate an event which can be followed by a specified automated response of the system, for example, sending an alert to the person in charge or to open the rising arm barrier.
We also implemented some upgrades in other smart modules:
- now the system can send alerts about presence of uniform in addition to alerts about missing uniform in the same module;
- the Face Recognition Complete module provides more accuracy in sex and age identification;
- accuracy of the Unique Visitor Counting module is improved (including cases with turning faces).
Integrations
We introduced new integrations of Eocortex software with third-party systems:
- Suprema Biostar 2 ACS: Suprema devices can be controlled in Eocortex through user tasks/scripts;
- VIVOTEK cameras edge analytics: Zone detection, Object detection, Line crossing, Detection of running, Crowd detection.
Support of Linux OS
Eocortex applications like Client, Configurator, Player run in Linux OS and support all of Eocortex features (excluding electronic signature, pass-through authorization using Active Directory). You can make use of the software advantages in locations where Windows OS may not be used.
Mobile application
Release of Android-based beta-version mobile application which implements ‘Focus on critical data’ concept (receive only critical data from the system).
The new mobile application provides:
- better response of the interface and accelerated operation in general;
- prompt access to critical views and to cameras in the main screen;
- upgraded method of setting-up a view;
- enhanced and easy search of requested cameras and views thanks to the new displaying form as a file system.

Additional features
Version 4.1 introduces:
- support of H.264+/H.265+ smart codecs;
- watermark imposing option in case of archive export and frame saving (user, computer, date, time);
- events log in web based client;
- archive viewing for the events in mobile application.
