More than 4000 IP cameras already integrated with Macroscop

The versatility of Macroscop IP camera software allows adjusting to the particular video surveillance system's needs employing any IP camera model from any manufacturer/brand to create a truly bespoke, seamless security solution. We are glad to announce that Macroscop video surveillance software now works with more than 4 000 IP camera models from over 150 brands, with ONVIF and PSIA support.

Open Platform nature of Macroscop VMS allows the variety of systems to be integrated: people and vehicle access control systems, fire/security alarm systems, student databases, perimeter security systems, intrusion systems, etc. With the help of SDK that we provide, Macroscop clients and partners are able to fully customize their video surveillance system and include all the additional features and applications needed.

And Macroscop is an ONVIF member as well, which means that Macroscop software is not bound to the particular manufacturer of IP devices. The ONVIF specification defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming, and intelligence metadata.

Alexey Novikov, engaged in IP devices' integrations, comments on reaching the next milestone:

Our group of developers is engaged in providing one of the main Macroscop functions - receiving the video streams from various cameras, and, in general, all the functions related to the Macroscop interaction with IP cameras and other IP-devices (recorders, intercoms, network I / O-modules). Macroscop VMS supports a wide range of functions of various IP-based devices.

The standard range includes obtaining the video and audio streams, while the deep integration involves intercom management (for example, in Axis A8004-VE); network I/O-devices' access automation based on the recognized person or license plate; working with NVRs' and IP cameras' archives (Edge storage), image dewarping from the Fish-Eye and Panoramic cameras.

In the near future, we are going to implement the following functions:

  • Integration of the first h265 / hevc-devices from Samsung, Vivotek, Uniview brands. This will allow Macroscop users to reduce the bandwidth and increase backup storage at the same cost.
  • Advanced diagnostics will enable the detailed camera tests during the video surveillance system setup and configuration.
  • ONVIF Profile G support will allow working with archive (Edge storage) given from all the devices supporting this profile. Which means that the archive access/synchronization function will be automatically supported on 1326 additional devices.
  • Macroscop will be capable of obtaining and processing the metadata from thermal imaging cameras and cameras with built-in video analytics.

Well done!
