Archive depth is the maximum archive storage time.
The archive depth can be actual and specified (in the settings). For example, if the depth of the archive is set to 7 days in the settings of the video surveillance server, and the server was started only 3 days ago, then the actual depth of the archive will be 3 days.
Some video surveillance systems allow you to flexibly adjust the depth of an archive: for example, they either enable the forced deletion of the archive that exceeds a predetermined depth, or store the archive for the maximum time until the disk space has been exhausted.
