DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a network protocol that allows devices to automatically obtain an IP address and other parameters necessary for these devices to work in a TCP / IP network.

For automatic configuration, the network device accesses the DHCP server and receives the necessary parameters from it.

DHCP is used in most TCP / IP networks, allowing to avoid having to configure the network devices manually and reducing the number of errors and network collisions.
