IP-address

IP address is a unique address of a node in a computer network built on the basis of the TCP/IP stack.

In the IPv4 version of the protocol, the IP address has a length of 4 bytes, and in the IPv6 version – 16 bytes.

In Internet, the global uniqueness of the address is required; in a local network, the address uniqueness within that particular network is required.
