KB (Kilobyte) is a unit of measure that, in various use cases, equals 103 = 1000 bytes or 210 = 1024 bytes. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) recommends using Kilobyte in its meaning of 1000 bytes. At the same time, the binary interpretation of this value as 1024 bytes is traditionally used.
