URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is a link to a web resource that determines its location in the computer network and the mechanism of its acquisition. The URL is mostly used for indicating links to the web pages (http). At the same time, the URL is used for the transfer of files (ftp), indication of email addresses (mailto), data base access (JDBC) and for other purposes.
